The Mount Sinai Morningside (MSM) Emergency Department is located in Morningside Heights, next to the undergraduate campus of Columbia University and close to Harlem. MSM is an ACS Level 2 Trauma Center, STEMI center, stroke center and sexual assault referral center. The ED cares for over 100,000 patients yearly. The pediatric emergency department treats over 20,000 patients from the neonatal period until their 22nd birthday. Our faculty includes dedicated pediatric attendings who are board certified in pediatrics, pediatric emergency medicine, and/or or pediatric intensive care. There is a dedicated CT and pharmacy staff for the department. Given its location, both EDs see a sizable percentage of Spanish-only speaking patients.

The Mount Sinai West (MSW) Emergency Department, located near Columbus Circle (and adjacent to resident housing), provides care to a population across the mid to far West side of Manhattan. Mount Sinai West serves as a comprehensive stroke center and sexual assault referral center. The modern and spacious ED includes over 40 patient rooms, a 3-bed fully-equipped resuscitation area, separate women’s health suite, departmental radiology and pharmacy. The ED cares for over 70,000 patients per year. Given its close proximity to Times Square, Lincoln Center, Midtown and the Manhattan Cruise Ship Terminal, the MSW ED cares for a significant number of tourists in addition to the local population.

The Mount Sinai Beth Israel (MSBI) Emergency Department is located in lower Manhattan and serves more than 70,000 patients each year. Twenty-five percent of the emergency department patients are admitted to the hospital, indicating a remarkably high acuity rate. Emergency department patients represent the cultural and socioeconomic diversity of Beth Israel's metropolitan location.

The Mount Sinai Hospital (MSH) Pediatric Emergency Department is a tertiary pediatric ED in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Morningside/West residents rotate in this busy department where they will care for very sick, often chronically infirm, children. The ED is staffed by attendings who are board certified in pediatric emergency medicine.
